Richard J. Simonsen DDS, MS, Assistant Dean, College of Dental Medicine, California Northstate University. Prof. Simonson was awarded IAAD honorary membership in 2017 meeting. Prior to joining California Northstate, he was the Dean of the University of Sharjah, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and before that, the founding Dean at Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine—Arizona. He earned a DDS degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and followed this with a Master’s degree in epidemiology and a certificate in Cariology. Dr. Simonsen has clinical and research interests in pit and fissure sealants and minimally invasive operative dentistry procedures.
