2019 Summary and Research Awards

The third meeting of the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry (IAAD) was held from May 9th to 11th, 2019, at the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi in the city of Bologna, Italy. The event was attended by more than 1300 participants, with 10 speakers and 54 posters in four different categories. This third IAAD meeting was held in association with the Congress of the Italian Academy of Conservative and Restorative Dentistry (AIC), under the coordination of Lorenzo Breschi, who was the president of both academies (IAAD and AIC). The topic for the event was "Worn Dentition: The Adhesive
Way" . A multidisciplinary restorative approach to patients with worn teeth was presented, backed by new findings in the field of adhesive dentistry and state-of-the-art materials, offering direct or indirect restorative options that were unthinkable a few short years ago.
The speakers addressed and discussed this topic, presenting various treatment protocols and focusing on functional and esthetic rehabilitation. Although most of the participants were Italian, the event attracted participants from all over the world.
